Faith Expressed Through Love | “All That Matters Now: Keep the Main Thing the Main Thing” | Missionary Tim Anderson

This is the sermon from our 5/3/26 service, joined by missionary Tim Anderson. He and his wife Debbie are Assemblies of God missionaries to Ecuador, where they’ve served for nearly forty years. God has used them greatly to reach the people of Ecuador, which you can read more about here: https://www.buildjunglebibleschool.org/build-jbs-landing-page

Tim preaches from Galatians 5:6b, “The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love,” emphasizing our need to reach out to people as a result of the deep love we have for them. He connects this to the importance of forgiving others, referencing 1 John 4:19-21, “We love because he [God] first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.”

This year, our focus is on building Stretchy Faith—a kind of faith that moves us beyond what’s comfortable and grows us in the areas that matter most.
