Faith Keeps Moving | Discipleship Is Our Legacy (Pt 1) | Pastor Rob Perkins

This is the sermon from our 8/16/26 service. We start this series by understanding that our faith in Jesus is something we receive, something we live, and something we pass on. We discuss the dangers of faith being a dead end, which leads us to reflect on what we’re doing in our daily lives to continue moving our faith forward to those around us and the next generation.

Today’s key Scripture verses include: “You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others” (2 Timothy 2:1-2), and “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’” (Romans 10:14-15).

What are you passing on? We don't just pass on our faith by what we say. We pass it on through our character, priorities, habits, reactions, faithfulness, and relationships.

This year, our focus is on building Stretchy Faith—a kind of faith that moves us beyond what’s comfortable and grows us in the areas that matter most.
