Knowing God’s Voice | One: Be Still (Pt 2) | Pastor Glenn Magnusen

This is the sermon from our 9/27/26 service. We discuss what it means to know and recognize God’s voice, using Jesus’ illustration of a shepherd calling out to his sheep.

Today’s key Scripture verses include: “He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth’” (Psalm 46:10), and “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me” (‭‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭27‬‬).

Life gets loud. And usually, we don't decide to lose sight of things that matter most- it happens while we are busy paying attention to everything else. ONE is a two week reset in the middle of the noise. What has gotten so loud that it's pulling your attention away from what matters most? And when everything else is competing to be heard, can you still hear God? Before the calendar gets fuller and life gets louder, we're going to slow down, move closer to Jesus, and learn to listen. When life gets loud, move closer to the center.

This year, our focus is on building Stretchy Faith—a kind of faith that moves us beyond what’s comfortable and grows us in the areas that matter most.
