What You Will Pass On | Discipleship Is Our Legacy (Pt 3) | Pastor Glenn Magnusen

This is the sermon from our 8/30/26 service. We recognize that our legacy is being passed on little by little each day, whether we like it or not, by our actions and the way we live. Those we are mentoring need to see firsthand the way we follow Jesus in our everyday lives, not just hear us talk about it.

Today’s key Scripture verses include: “You, therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. What you have heard from me  in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful  men who will be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:1-2), “I recall your sincere faith  that first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and now, I am convinced, is in you also” (2 Tim. 1:5), and “Imitate me, as I also imitate Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1).

What are you passing on? We don't just pass on our faith by what we say. We pass it on through our character, priorities, habits, reactions, faithfulness, and relationships.

This year, our focus is on building Stretchy Faith—a kind of faith that moves us beyond what’s comfortable and grows us in the areas that matter most.
