This is the sermon from our 8/23/26 service. We discuss the importance of continuing to learn as a disciple, our need to have people in our lives who will challenge us, and the impact this has on the legacy we pass on.

Today’s key Scripture verses include: “You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others” (2 Timothy 2:1-2), “So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!” (1 Corinthians 10:12), and “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid” (Proverbs 12:1).

What are you passing on? We don't just pass on our faith by what we say. We pass it on through our character, priorities, habits, reactions, faithfulness, and relationships.

This year, our focus is on building Stretchy Faith—a kind of faith that moves us beyond what’s comfortable and grows us in the areas that matter most.
